Home Education Designs is a supplementary program for home-based schooling that assists high school students to fulfill graduation requirements leading to an accredited transcript.
This accreditation program has grown out of the privately-owned Yakima-based home school support program, HomeLink, which offers classes for students ages 8-18 on a once a week basis. Assignments are completed at home under the supervision of the home schooling parent who is qualified according to state law. HomeLink Yakima and Home Education Design are accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.
We are accredited through the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). This provides reciprocity with secondary institutions throughout the United States, meaning easier credit transfer anywhere in the nation.
The Mission of Home Education Designs is to provide an accredited transcript of high school work completed in a home-based setting.
We provide second-party validation of home-school grades, simplifying the process of transferring home-based credits into other accredited high schools. Our services also ease the college admission process and improve scholarship opportunites. Meeting HED standards makes a positive statement about the quality of work completed in your home education program.
Our staff has years of experience working with many home school curricula and education styles, and we are willing and eager to help you in any way we can!
